IRIS Americas is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer (.NET Full stack) to join our dynamic Payroll team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of application data, the ability to identify discrepancies, and the expertise to develop and implement sanity-checking scripts and fixes. This role requires a proactive individual who demonstrates initiative and accountability, effectively investigating and resolving data discrepancies while developing stored procedures and optimizing database performance.

Job Requirements:

1. 10+ years of experience developing high-performance web applications.
2. Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
3. Expertise in object-oriented design, .NET technologies, APIs, Microservices, and SQL Server query writing.
4. Proficiency with JavaScript and other modern front-end technologies.
5. Strong experience designing and implementing architecture for reliable scalability.
6. Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services, Lambda, Queues, and CI/CD pipelines.
7. Proficiency with containerization technologies (K8s experience is a plus).
8. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to independently solve complex problems.
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
10. Experience in mentoring, guiding, and supporting junior software engineers.
11. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
12. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
13. Passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain high-performance .NET web applications and microservices.
2. Architect and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.
3. Lead technical design discussions and mentor junior team members, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
4. Write clean, maintainable code and ensure smooth deployments with minimal bugs.
5. Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to architectural guidelines.
6. Provide leadership in technical architecture and the establishment of robust design patterns.
7. Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to deliver high-impact features and improvements.
8. Work across all layers of the application stack (front-end, middle-tier, and database), including writing stored procedures and complex queries.
9. Utilize AWS Cloud Services to build scalable solutions and implement best practices.
10. Contribute to the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications (using Kubernetes, Docker, AWS Fargate).
11. Proficiency with Git and version control systems to ensure smooth collaboration.
12. Collaborate within an Agile environment, using iterative development methodologies.
13. Stay current with emerging technologies and proactively suggest innovative solutions to improve performance and user experience.
14. Mentor and support junior software engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
15. Take ownership of technical solutions, driving improvements in software quality, maintainability, and performance.
16. Provide off-hours support as needed to ensure system availability and reliability.
