Coppersmith Recruitment and Services, representing our client in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team! If you're a software whiz with 5+ years of experience, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, and develop embedded computer systems software in collaboration with hardware product development.
• Improve software quality as delegated by management.
• Gather and analyze software requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Consult with hardware engineers and other staff to evaluate system interfaces and requirements.
• Develop software requirements specifications, test procedures, and other documentation.
• Coordinate software release processes and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in C/C++, DOS, and LINUX shell scripts.
• Background in defense/aerospace is a plus.
• Preference for candidates with experience in AMI BIOS systems and BIOS development/customization.
• Familiarity with low-level programming concepts, hardware abstraction layers (HAL), and BIOS configuration utilities.
• Experience collaborating with hardware engineers or firmware developers.

Salary: Up to $160,000/year.
This is an in-office position. While we prefer local candidates, we are open to candidates outside the area. Please note, no relocation assistance is provided.
