2. About the Opportunity

The Senior Software Engineer – Data Product APIs will develop and maintain backend APIs that power internal systems and consumer-facing platforms, supporting content delivery to millions of users. This role involves architecting large-scale, fault-tolerant, and highly available systems, leveraging modern technologies to ensure efficient and reliable digital experiences. The position is critical in enhancing the organization''s API infrastructure within a collaborative DevOps environment, contributing to the scalability and performance of services that reach a broad audience.

3. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy backend APIs using Golang

• Automate containerization with Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes and Terraform

• Utilize cloud provider tools to build efficient and modern system architectures

• Evaluate and implement new tools to optimize costs, deployment speed, and resource efficiency

• Review pull requests and mentor team members

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning every two weeks

• Provide operational support and participate in on-call rotations

• Advocate for best practices in application and infrastructure monitoring

4. Requirements:

• Strong experience with Golang development

• Minimum 2 years in developing and deploying software in a DevOps environment

• Experience building APIs, SDKs, or CLI tools

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, test-driven development, CI/CD pipelines, and version control

• Experience with configuration-driven infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible, or Salt

• Ability to work effectively as a self-starter in a remote-friendly setting

• Skills in delivering scalable API solutions using GraphQL and REST

• Writing thorough unit and integration tests

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The annualized base salary for this role ranges between $150,000 and $160,000. Base compensation depends on factors including location, education, skills, certifications, and experience. Variable compensation may also apply but is not reflected in this range.
