We’re building technology to solve a problem that hasn’t meaningfully improved in over 40 years: how to design and assess safer chemicals.

Today, there’s no easy way to predict how a chemical will impact human health or the environment. We’re changing that — building a predictive toxicology platform that models real-world outcomes and helps scientists, regulators, and organizations make better decisions.

Since emerging earlier this year, we’ve seen rapid traction with early partnerships driving real-world adoption, including collaboration at the federal level.

We’re a small, high-caliber team (6 people) and are looking for a senior full-stack engineer to help us scale.

The Role:

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You’ll take features from concept to production and help bridge complex legacy systems into a modern, scalable platform.

A big part of the challenge:

1. Spinning up custom tools on Google Cloud
2. Integrating legacy scientific/toxicology systems
3. Converting difficult, outdated workflows into clean APIs
4. Ensuring everything performs reliably in production
5. You’ll work across the stack and deep into infrastructure — solving real problems, not just punching tickets

What You’ll Do:

1. Own features end-to-end across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
2. Design and build APIs that interface with legacy systems
3. Develop and manage cloud-based environments (GCP)
4. Debug complex system issues (logs, networking, performance)
5. Help scale a growing product with increasing user demand
6. Collaborate closely with a small, senior team

What We’re Looking For:

1. 7~10+ years of software engineering experience
2. Strong full-stack capability (Python + React/TypeScript familiarity)
3. Deep experience with Google Cloud and distributed systems
4. Ability to design systems and understand how components interact
5. Comfortable working with infrastructure, networking, and APIs
6. Someone who can debug anything and stay calm under pressure
7. Scrappy, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented mindset

This is not an “AI tool user” role — we’re looking for someone who truly understands systems, can write and debug real code, and knows how everything fits together under the hood.
