About the Role

Togetherwork is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who builds, tests, and optimizes robust, scalable software systems while mentoring junior developers. You will play a critical role in full-stack system design, performance tuning, and leveraging expertise in our modern tech stack to drive product development.

What You'll Do

1. Develop and maintain core SaaS applications and APIs.
2. Build dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
3. Write clean, tested, and efficient code; actively engage in code reviews to maintain standards.
4. Review and improve code written by peers and junior developers.
5. Participate and collaborate in system architecture discussions and design reviews.

Success Measures

1. Code efficiency, stability, and test coverage metrics.
2. Deliver high-quality, well-tested features on schedule and to specifications.
3. Proactively prevent production incidents; identification and resolution of performance bottlenecks and system stability issues.
4. Effectively mentor junior developers and improve team velocity.
5. Pivotal contributions to architectural decisions that reduce long-term technical debt.

What You'll Bring

Proficiency in our core stack:

1. Languages: ColdFusion, .NET, PHP, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, T-SQL.
2. Frameworks & Concepts: MVC, AJAX, .NET, jQuery.
3. Databases: Microsoft SQL Server.
4. Knowledge around multi-cloud or hybrid cloud and cross-platform integrations.
5. A product-minded approach with a focus on the "why" behind the build.
6. A proactive problem-solving mindset with a builder mentality and a focus on automation.
7. A commitment to continuous learning and adopting best practices.
8. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization.
9. Some level of AI expertise is a plus.

Team & Collaboration

1. Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
2. Lead by example through clear communication, documentation, and code reviews.
3. Share knowledge and mentor other engineers to elevate the entire team.
4. Participate actively in sprint planning, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
5. Partner with engineering peers, product managers, and designers to build scalable and high-performing SaaS applications.
