If you are a Senior Research Scientist with experience, please read on!
We develop the top medical imaging device (hardware and software) that has the potential to revolutionize the imaging industry. It will save thousands of lives every year in a market that is worth more than $120 billion. We are going to do this by providing high-quality imaging anywhere and it will be affordable. Creating the first handheld, fully volumetric (3D), independent operator, and secure imaging modality using algorithms that're inspired by geophysics and computational tools that operate on cloud GPUs.
As a Senior Research Scientist, you will need to use a combination of multidisciplinary domains in Physics, Math, and Computational Science to create and solve difficult challenges in a complex system. The device consists of a patented ultrasound probe and a wave propagation differential equation-solving core engine that runs on numerous GPUs.
Deep understanding of all of the system's vertical layers is necessary for research tasks, starting with piezoelectric acoustics and extending through acquisition (electronics, signal processing), physics (modeling mechanical properties like elasticity), mathematics (iterative optimizations, adjoint-method), and software engineering (algorithms implemented in PyTorch, running with GPUs on AWS).
