The team you’ll work with

This person will report within our product team but work cross functionality across the organization. The product team drives innovation around sustainable products that address electricity consumption. The product team is at the forefront of creating a platform that supports a more sustainable and reliable grid for the future.

The Impact

As the first designer you will have the opportunity to shape our UX strategy and ensure clients can effectively leverage our forecasting platform. This person will create design guidelines and standards to ensure consistency across products and teams. You’ll have the opportunity to develop a structured design process that includes phases like research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and iteration.

The problems you’ll solve

You’ll be helping our customers realize the value provided by our product. Rather than simply being measured on the output of your design work, you’ll be measured on the success of the product. Some of the problems you’ll help solve include

• Design a clean and intuitive user interface that is easy to navigate.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of design on the company's goals.
• Conduct user research to understand the needs, goals, and pain points of your target audience.
• Provide concise explanations and tooltips for complex data or terminology.
• Allow users to customize their energy forecasting settings and preferences, such as location, time frame, and the type of energy data they want to see.
• Help provide real-time or near-real-time updates for energy forecasts to keep users informed of the latest data.

You may be a fit for this role if

You have 5 plus years of UX experience designing complex data driven systems. Proven experience leading UX strategies for B2B organizations. Proven experience creating user personas, user journeys, and information architecture to inform the design process. Expert experience developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to illustrate design concepts and interactions.
