THE POSITION

The Senior Motion Graphics Artist is responsible for the design and creation of broadcast graphics and graphic packages from scratch using industry-standard Adobe software. Design, create, and implement complex animated sequences using industry-standard software. Manage all files associated with created graphics both locally and over a network.
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
- Design and animate insert graphics, show graphics, title graphics, on-air promotion spots, features, and live program segments using industry-standard Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects Software.
- Create animated segments using industry-standard Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
- Composite animated segments, live video, and graphic elements using Adobe After Effects software.
- Work closely with Art Directors, Production, Chyron, and XPression developers.
- Lead and manage projects while working closely with other departments to ensure brand consistency.
- Develop effective file structures that can be referenced easily during and after projects.
- Manage data associated with Adobe.
- Create and maintain design assets using Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned or requested.
THE STATS
What we’re looking for in our next teammate
- Minimum of 4 years of live broadcast graphic design experience at a national television network or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Adobe software including Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
- Intermediate experience using PC and Mac computer networks and file structures.
- Hands-on and/or working knowledge of systems/equipment used in functions identified above, including analog/digital video/audio signals and monitoring equipment.
- Ability to work well in a broadcast team environment, including talent, producers, and directors, under strict time deadlines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule consisting of weekends and holidays.
Nice to have
- Previous experience developing UI design systems, infographics, or insert graphics.
- Familiar with Asana or similar work management software.
- Familiar with Chyron and XPression.
- Experience documenting workflows.
