About the Position

At The Princeton Review, student success is at the heart of everything we do. As Senior Manager, Social Media, you’ll lead the strategy and execution of The Princeton Review’s organic social media presence across all channels, amplifying our mission to provide personalized, innovative, best-in-class private tutoring, test prep, and admission products and services to help students knock down barriers and achieve their academic goals.

In this role, you will define and drive a bold, multi-channel strategy that grows awareness, deepens engagement, and builds authentic community with students and parents at every stage of their journey. You’ll lead a team that unites creativity and analytics to tell compelling stories — about opportunity, growth, and achievement — and to translate our brand purpose into meaningful, measurable impact. Through strategic vision, collaboration, and a deep understanding of the ever-evolving social landscape, you’ll help shape how millions experience The Princeton Review.

What You'll Do

  1. Social Strategy
  2. Define and lead a unified, multi-channel social media strategy across platforms (including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, LinkedIn, Facebook, and emerging spaces).
  3. Establish clear goals, content frameworks, and engagement principles that reflect The Princeton Review’s brand personality and mission.
  4. Ensure every piece of content builds awareness, relevance, and trust among diverse audiences.

  1. Content Development & Creative Excellence
  2. Work with direct reports and resources from across the organization to create engaging, mission-driven content that educates, inspires, and motivates students to achieve their goals.
  3. Collaborate with content and product marketing teams to deliver cohesive storytelling across all digital touchpoints.
  4. Own content calendar and publishing workflow across key platforms.

  1. Community Growth & Engagement
  2. Develop strategies that foster community, advocacy, and conversation among students, parents, and educators, with a clear focus on product and solution introduction driving to lead acquisition.
  3. Lead social listening and engagement programs to anticipate needs, strengthen reputation, and surface insights that drive business decisions.
  4. Partner with Student Success and Product teams to ensure social channels enhance the overall student journey and provide timely, responsive engagement.

  1. Measurement & Optimization
  2. Define and monitor key performance metrics across platforms, translating social data into actionable insights. Establish a repeatable process for weekly reporting and KPI tracking.
  3. Continuously optimize campaigns and content strategies to improve reach, engagement, and conversion.
  4. Stay at the forefront of digital trends, emerging technologies, and platform innovations to maintain The Princeton Review’s leadership and agility in the education space.

  1. Leadership & Collaboration
  2. Lead and develop a high-performing team of two direct reports. Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture that champions creativity, innovation, and accountability.
  3. Partner with senior leaders across Growth, Product, Publishing, and Marketing Services to align social media with broader brand and business goals.
  4. Work closely with the Performance Marketing Team to align your organic (non-paid) social media strategy with their paid social media activity.

Who You Are

  1. You have 5+ years of relevant professional experience in direct-to-consumer engagement, preferably in test prep, tutoring, admissions counseling, higher education, or other premium services sectors
  2. You bring deep expertise in multi-channel social media strategy, online community management, and user engagement at scale.
  3. You have demonstrated success navigating through transformation, growth, and innovation in digital engagement.
  4. You understand how to connect storytelling, brand purpose, and community engagement to drive measurable business impact.
  5. You have a track record of elevating brand presence through authenticity, inclusivity, and relevance in a fast-moving digital landscape.
  6. You have expertise in testing methodologies and campaign analysis, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
  7. You thrive in a collaborative environment that values curiosity, accountability, and mission-driven creativity.
  8. You are a systems and strategic thinker, with proven experience building effective operational processes that enhance the user experience.
  9. You model collaborative, inclusive leadership that balances strategic vision with operational excellence.
  10. You have an ability to manage your own time and work remotely and autonomously from your manager, teammates, and direct reports.
  11. You operate with an ethic of personal responsibility; holding yourself accountable on behalf of your team.
  12. You are enthusiastic, confident, and optimistic, and find resonance with our mission to put student success at the heart of everything we do.
