Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for directing activities for a team of software development engineers, providing guidance and mentorship, and setting performance goals to contribute to the company's business objectives. You'll also develop strategy for software development projects, defining project requirements, timelines, and deliverables to drive effective execution.


Required Qualifications:

  1. 7+ years of Software development experience
  2. 2+ years experience of leading projects or managing direct reports


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience facilitating risk assessments by troubleshooting production issues and assessing available resources
  2. Experience directing department throughout the software development life cycle operations, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
  3. Execution, delivery and technical planning experience
  4. Software Engineering Master Certification (SEMC) preferred
  5. Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) preferred


Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures the department adheres to best practices, quality standards, and industry trends
  2. Collaborates with multiple cross-functional teams, including product managers and business stakeholders, aligning priorities, resolving conflicts, and maintaining productive relationships
  3. Researches and evaluates the latest software development technologies, methodologies, and industry trends, capitalizing on innovative technology solutions and integrating best options
  4. Delivers expert technical guidance, makes informed decisions, and supports the team when faced with complex challenges


Education:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)


Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:


$118,450.00 - $236,900.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
