In This Role

You will be part of a dynamic team building a brand-new casual game using modern web technologies. This role focuses on crafting responsive, performant, and visually polished front-end experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, back-end engineers, and production teams to deliver high-quality features in fast-paced, iterative sprints.


Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Design teams to implement game features.
  2. Translate Figma designs and interaction specs into accessible, production-ready UI components.
  3. Extend and maintain design systems and framework code.
  4. Ensure pixel-perfect visual polish and resolve defects.
  5. Participate in code reviews and uphold quality, security, and accessibility standards.
  6. Track and communicate progress using project management tools.
  7. Implement telemetry, performance monitoring, and error tracking where applicable.


Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  2. 5–7 years of professional front-end engineering experience.
  3. Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  5. Proven experience troubleshooting and optimizing front-end performance.

Core Technical Knowledge

  1. Web development life cycle.
  2. Tooling: Node.js, npm, VS Code, Azure DevOps, Git.
  3. Languages: HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript (TS/TSX), JSON.
  4. Frameworks: Solid.js (required), React, Vue, Angular, Svelte.
  5. Build tools: Webpack, Vite.
  6. Design collaboration: Figma.
  7. Data integration: RESTful APIs, JSON handling.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with:
  2. Pixel-perfect UI implementation.
  3. Single-page applications (routing, state management).
  4. JSX/TSX for modular components.
  5. CSS animations and transitions.
  6. Responsive/mobile-first design.
  7. Web accessibility (WCAG 2.x AA compliance).
  8. HTML Canvas and touch input ergonomics.
  9. Performance optimization and profiling.
  10. Web game development concepts.
  11. Web security (XSS, CSRF).


Salary Range

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $95,000 to $100,000 USD annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
