As an engineer at Wildlight, you will enjoy a highly collaborative environment both within and across disciplines. You will be expected to work closely with stakeholders to establish requirements, research existing systems to maximize their use, and develop and maintain new features with a high degree of ownership. As a part of our engineering team, you’ll also contribute to a culture of collaborative problem-solving, technical excellence, and continuous education and improvement.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Work across disciplines to establish feature requirements, then design and build the technology needed to achieve the stated goals
  • Build a comprehensive understanding of existing engine systems in your area of ownership and establish best practices for maximizing their use
  • Optimize existing and new systems to reach performance targets
  • Investigate and fix bugs in a timely manner
     

Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of experience as a game engineer
  • Excellent C/C++ programming and debugging skills
  • Strong understanding of how to design systems for high performance on modern hardware
  • Strong understanding of modern game engine structure and programming paradigms
     

Nice to Haves

 

  • Unreal Engine experience
  • Experience working with networked game simulations and modern networking paradigms

We believe that a team that builds together wins together. Because of that, our compensation packages consist of competitive industry standard base salaries and an annual bonus. For this specific role, the base salary range is to be determined based on the specific role you qualify for.
