Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer role is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about technology and innovation looking to join a highly collaborative, team-oriented organization. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with HCA ITG leaders, enterprise architects, Software engineering leaders and other technical teams for delivering products and services to meet their needs while adhering to industry best practices and HCA Policies and Guidelines.

You will work closely with various areas of the enterprise to define and enable the delivery of cloud services and solutions, focusing on infrastructure as code (IAC) across a multi-tiered, multi cloud strategy. These responsibilities require the candidate to have a deep understanding of DevOps, IaC, Microsoft Azure, GCP, AI Assisted Software engineering concepts and building Secure application by design.

Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing HCA Healthcare’s DevOps (Development Operations) strategy. The engineer will be responsible for building standardized CI/CD pipeline for various languages used within the enterprise ensuring security standards are implemented. Engineer will be responsible enabling standard tooling as part of CI/CD pipeline. Key responsibilities of the role include building, automating, and implementing software engineering best practices, governance, controls and helping teams in remediation. Day to day responsibilities include building standard DevOps pipelines keeping security top of the mind, customer relationship management, problem and incident management and helping engineering teams in delivering high quality software security consulting for product teams.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and deploying cloud native applications
2. Ability to write automation scripts with Python, PowerShell, or C#.
3. Identify and research emerging technologies tooling in DevOps space
4. Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements
5. Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners
6. Enterprise rollout of tools and technology
7. Enable and support AI Assistance for Software engineers across the enterprise.
8. Identify opportunities in the SDLC process and provide recommendations.
9. Design, build and implement secure automation solutions for production environments
10. Build and maintain CICD building blocks and shared libraries to enable quicker build and deployment for app teams.
11. Design, develop and implement solutions to address infrastructure and security requirements.
12. Design, implement automation and system integration with developer tools.
13. Familiarity and experience with databases such as SQL Server, PostgresDB, DB2, BigQuery etc.
14. Experience with deployment, support, and troubleshooting of n-tier applications.
15. Ability to provide technical documentation necessary for operational handoff.
16. Remain current in DevOps industry trends and best practice
17. Working on POC/POV in identifying tooling the DevOps pipeline

Education & Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree required
2. Master's degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:

1. Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5+ years’ experience required.
3. Proven experience in DevOps domain
4. Experience in designing and building CICD pipelines using GitHub/ADO
5. Strong background with deploying workloads to one of the Cloud Azure or GCP.
6. Demonstrated ability in working with Cross functional team
