We are seeking a passionate content marketer to supervise the strategy, development and distribution of Gordian’s messaging to our core audiences. The Senior Content Writer is responsible for all of Gordian’s corporate messaging and will help determine the content needed for successful brand awareness campaigns. This role also serves as the content advisor, writer and editor for various industry-specific demand generation campaigns. You’ll work closely with brand strategy, communications, product marketing, demand generation, sales and other teams to produce written and multimedia assets that drive engagement across channels and throughout the funnel. Having an extensive knowledge of marketing trends and tactics, SEO, copywriting and project management processes will ensure success in this position.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and communicate a content strategy that highlights Gordian’s solutions and experience to help meet our brand awareness, acquisition and retention goals
  • Responsible for planning, producing and publishing various forms of content that align with Gordian’s brand story and meets campaign goals
  • Develop target messaging and topics to a range of personas and industries
  • Evangelize for more human-centric and customer impact messaging throughout the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including multiple levels of management, to define and deliver messaging and marketing assets that are aligned with corporate strategy
  • Research industry trends, competitor content, data and current events to use as reference materials for white papers, reports and thought leadership content
  • Write, edit and proof-read a variety of types of content, including product brochures, press releases, customer success stories, white papers, blog posts, etc.
  • Ensure that all content adheres to our brand and style guidelines to maintain consistent messaging
  • Monitor, track and report content performance across multiple channels
  • Successfully repurpose content in new ways and across channels/sites to increase reach and impact

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong copy writing and proofing skills is a requirement
  • Can adapt style and approach across different channels and audiences, especially skilled at writing for B2B/B2G
  • Ability to run and prioritize several projects at the same time
  • Ability to develop stories and narratives to connect the dots between industry trends, data and our solution offerings
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Acts with integrity and clarity
  • Ability to create, maintain and communicate project plans and timelines
  • A dual-minded approach: highly creative but can also scale ideas and rely on data to make decisions
  • Up-to-date with the latest content development trends and standard processes
  • Perceptive self-starter capable of adapting quickly
  • Ability to anticipate issues/concerns, troubleshoot problems and proactively install creative solutions quickly and thoroughly

 

Experience:

 

  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or similar field of study
  • Five or more years’ experience in content marketing
  • B2B or B2G marketing background preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing content marketing strategies for diverse audience segments
  • Involvement creating content for multi-channel marketing campaigns; Lead generation background a plus
  • Experience in working in a matrix environment with multiple team members and partners
  • Proven understanding and ability to use MS Office applications
  • Project management skills and successful track record of delivering quality content on time
  • Writing and content strategy samples will be requested

National: The salary range for this position is $65,900- $122,500

 

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

 

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
