Your role in our mission

Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives in important areas.

  • Help coordinate Information Security and Privacy Office (ISPO) team’s duties and activities on IT projects and nurture newer team members by providing guidance and support
  • Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients, ISPO team members, project managers and technical staff to define, document and share business requirements and expected impact
  • Under the direction of the DBO Privacy Officer coordinate the development, review and acceptance of information security and privacy controls with information system owners, information owners, end users and authorizing official(s)
  • Under the direction of the DBO Privacy Officer coordinate the review and update of Notice of Privacy Practices, confidentiality agreements, and forms for requesting access to information systems and/or data
  • Under the direction of the DBO Privacy Officer review requests for release of, or access to, DHCS Protected Health Information (PHI) or Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
  • Analyze, plan, design, document or make recommendations to improve ISPO business processes to support client’s technology goals
  • Exercise ability to use basic analytical or relational database software — such as Excel or SQL — to quantify the anticipated impact of work
  • Take the lead in providing litigation support to DBO Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed

Tasks Include

  • Prepare and deliver reports
  • Review compliance and participation in security and confidentiality training programs
  • Keep current on changes to information security/privacy legislation, litigation support requirements and industry best practices
  • Identify potential risk areas for special review

 


What we're looking for

  • 6 or more years of experience in a relevant Business Analyst position with 3 or more years of Medicaid and Medicare experience and Information Security, Privacy or Compliance operations preferred. Knowledge of standard audit procedures
  • Knowledge of computer programming concepts such as configuration, development, and batch processing. Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills
  • Advanced knowledge in analytical software such as Microsoft Excel or SQL and other requirement-mapping tools such as Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 Privacy Rule
  • Strong client communication skills translating client needs to actionable objectives. Utilizes strong executive presence and communication skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients, and technical personnel. A leader who motivates others to action and communicates key technical ideas in a digestible way

The pay range for this position is $74,300.00 - $106,100.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
