Base Min. $ 80,000.00 Base Max. $ 95,000.00 Description & RequirementsWe are seeking full-time Senior Accountant in Audit with public accounting experience to join our award-winning firm working full time from your home!This is a great opportunity to develop and pursue your career interests while working with our friendly and high-integrity team members. The Senior Accountant in Audit provides support on behalf of the firm to multiple clients on a project and operational basis. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and to communicate effectively. The Auditing Accountant is responsible for performing all aspects of attest engagements (audits, reviews, and compilations) in a wide variety of industries including real estate, technology, hospitality, nonprofit, construction, and distribution. This individual will be given a high-level of responsibility in each of their assigned engagements and will directly supervise less experienced associate auditors. Responsibilities (Day to Day) and Opportunities: •Knowledge of audit theory and relevant assertions by financial statement area •Assume full responsibility, under supervision, or work as a member of a team •Supervise staff level professionals and delegate engagement responsibilities •Understanding of risk assessment procedures including internal control walkthroughs, fraud inquiries, journal entry testing, and other risk assessment procedures •Completion of more complex audit sections •Draft full disclosure financial statements in accordance with GAAP •Provide written and verbal recommendations for clients based on audit findings. •Develop an understanding of the client's business and industry in the context of work performed •Properly use research tools and gain further understanding of Accounting Standards Codification •Responsible for completing thorough and precise workpaper documentation •Project management and completion, and frequent communication with client and audit team •Provide professional written and oral client communication •Provide strong analytical skills and substantive testing of client records and schedules •Provide excellent client service and develop and maintain client relationships Experience: •2 (two) or more years in recent public accounting •Working knowledge of GAAP and GAAS •Experience in basic and complex audit sections •Ability to self-direct and effectively organize time and projects •Excellent communication and organizational skills •Desire to work with a team and develop client relationships •Ability to learn and implement new software and technology •Basic & Complex Auditing •Auditing experience in Public Accounting (MUST have) •Software knowledge preference: •Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel •CCH Engagement -trial balance software (or similar, preferred) •PPC Practice Aid Attestation Software (or similar, preferred) •Suralink - client documentation software (or similar, a plus) •IDEA - data extraction software (or similar, a plus) Education and Certification(s): •Bachelor's Degree in Accounting •Master's degree in taxation preferred •CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification/license (or CPA candidate) Skills: •Auditing •External Audits •Financial Audits •GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) •GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards) •Auditing Standards •Public Sector Accounting Benefits: •401k match •HRA style Health Plans •Dental Insurance •Life and Disability Insurance •(FSA) Flexible Spending Accounts Additional Benefits/Perks: •For those pursuing a CPA, we reimbursement for exam fees (once each exam), paid online learning resources, and a Cash bonus once you receive your CPA •Professional development •Team building activities •"Half-day Friday" options every other week during designated times ABOUT US: At PP&Co., we live our Core Values, and they are EPIIC: we strive for Excellence in everything we do, our People are our most important asset, we do everything with Integrity, we are fiercely Independent, we Care about our community!
