Section 508/Program Manager

Overview:

Softtek Government Solutions is seeking a highly driven Section 508 IT Accessibility Program Manager to join our technical team. Our team is looking to welcome an experienced technical SME and/or Program Management professional to work in support of projects for government clients and company-level efforts.

This current role supports a Government Agency/Accessibility Office in support of Section 508 IT Accessibility, advocating and overseeing the implementation of Electronic and Information Technology to ensure it is consistent with industry standards and agency policy to ensure accessibility to people with disabilities.

This position advises, assists, leads, manages, works to support the IT Accessibility Program (Section 508) Business Operations with the creation of policy, processes, best practices, and procedures, to support the review, coordination, adjudication, promulgation, and communication of conformant and compliant internal and external content.

Program Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing a diverse skillset of team resources to meet operational service level agreements for the Accessibility Office.
  2. Ability to build a cohesive team and manage people effectively.
  3. Manage the effective operation of the help desk as customer-focused and service-oriented, providing the highest quality of customer support.
  4. Ensures performance data and metrics are captured and accurately reported to understand team workload and delivery within defined service level agreements.
  5. Ability to work through existing pain points with a thorough understanding of the strategic vision for the program and set the long-term direction of the team.
  6. Maintains and manages the Government Customer interface at the senior levels of the Government customer organization.
  7. Meets with Government customer and Contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.
  8. Leads customer and team meetings and serves as a trusted partner to the client.
  9. Identify, monitor, document, and manage through close out all project risks and issues, ensuring transparency of communication, effective root cause analysis, and after-action reporting.
  10. Draft, publish, maintain, and provide training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that describe the support process so that it is transparent to and repeatable by all team members.
  11. Prepares project status reports, meeting minutes, project schedules, resourcing plans, and project deliverables with a high level of quality.
  12. Prepares and delivers program management reports to Softtek Government Solutions Senior Leadership at defined intervals.

Required Education:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in STEM or business field, or equivalent experience with a related field and a minimum of 9 years of experience in a distinct functional or cross-functional area.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Must be US Citizen
  2. Experience with one or more Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or SAFe.
  3. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Project.
  4. Experience in a Government QA project environment.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  7. Ability to work effectively and make decisions in high-tempo and dynamic environments.

Desired Skills:

  1. Industry approved certifications in one or more of the following a plus: PMP, Certified Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, SAFe, ITIL v4, etc.
  2. Experience providing quality management with software development and IT service management projects.
  3. Experience with peer reviews and process auditing.
  4. Experience writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), knowledge base documentation, and communication templates.
  5. Experience collecting and analyzing metrics.
  6. Section 508/IT Accessibility experience.
  7. Experience leading and expanding business within stakeholder community.
