POSITION SUMMARY

The Seasonal Social Media Associate will support our award-winning social team and report to the Senior Social Media Coordinator. The Social Media Associate will assist with discovering new community members, daily community management, and supporting the team with planning and executing social media strategies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, self-motivated, creative, and loves a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Publish and engage daily with the Rare Beauty community across Instagram, ensuring timely execution and alignment with brand voice
2. Assist Senior Social Media Coordinator with sharing real-time community sentiment updates to key stakeholders for brand and product campaigns, along with post-launch reporting
3. Partner with Social and Content Teams to support global social calendars for international retail markets, ensuring brand-aligned, culturally relevant, and locally resonant content
4. Track all Rare Beauty socials and global content requests and manage our Social Content Library of assets
5. Contribute to building content calendars and campaign rollouts across social and digital platforms
6. Support production of photo/video shoots by helping with creative briefs, on-set needs, as well as post-production needs
7. Edit, repurpose, and adapt content for different platforms
8. Conduct and report weekly competitive analysis, translating emerging social and beauty trends into actionable insights for the Social team
9. Translate cultural moments, platform trends, and community insights into fresh, engaging content ideas for Instagram
10. Assist Social Team with monthly reporting and performance recaps, as needed
11. Manage all Social Team meeting notes and agendas and track action items
12. Support community “surprise and delight” initiatives, including packaging and shipping mailers
13. Additional responsibilities as required

REQUIREMENTS

1. Recent graduate or currently pursuing degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
2. Experience with community management, customer service and social engagement
3. Deep understanding of Gen-Z culture, digital behavior, and emerging platforms
4. Excellent writing and communication skills
5. Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
6. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and responds to shifting workloads with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
7. Proactive self-starter with roll up your sleeves” attitude who takes initiative while collaborating effectively across teams
8. Fluency in Spanish and ability to translate cultural contexts for marketing materials.
9. Proficiency with MS Office tools including PowerPoint, Word, Excel
10. Knowledge of FedEx Shipping Manager
11. Must be available to be in the El Segundo based office generally on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

1. Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
2. Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 20 lbs
3. Packaging and shipping mailers as needed
4. Assisting with event setup and breakdown, including light physical tasks
