The Automation Test Lead is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, development, and execution of automated testing solutions across the program. This role leads a team of automation engineers, establishes testing standards, and ensures that automated test coverage supports high-quality, scalable, and efficient delivery. The Lead works closely with QA leadership, developers, business analysts, and product owners to define automation strategies, identify test automation opportunities, and ensure alignment with project goals and technology architecture.

Key responsibilities include developing the automation framework, guiding script development, managing test environments, and ensuring proper integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. The Automation Test Lead reviews test plans and scripts, drives best practices in coding and automation design, and ensures defects are accurately identified, documented, and resolved. They also track testing progress, report quality metrics, and provide clear communication to stakeholders.

The role requires strong expertise in automation tools and languages, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, agile environment. The Automation Test Lead ensures the testing function delivers consistent, repeatable, high-quality results that support rapid delivery and long-term product stability.
