The Anatomic Pathology Group within Research Laboratories in South San Francisco is seeking a contractor with attention to detail who can support front-to-back sample management and shipment organization.

Primary Responsibilities:
 

• Inventory and registration of tissue samples.
• Label tissue samples according to internal identification and tissue type.
• Catalog stained slides and FFPE tissue blocks for archival purposes.
• Communicate closely with external vendors to organize periodic shipments.
• May be asked to manage various tasks in support of the Anatomic Pathology laboratory human tissue panels.
   

Qualifications:

Required Education:? Associate's degree OR Bachelor's degree with equivalent direct work experience of minimum two (2) years of in laboratory setting within hospital/pharma/biotech or CRO.
 

• Proficiency in working with tabular data (i.e. Microsoft Excel)
• Strong organizational and time management skills?
• Strong written communication skills?
• Proven track record of analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail.
• High personal integrity and credibility Preferred Experience and Skills:
• Proficiency in Labware Biorepository database, or similar tissue banking software
• Prior experience in sample management
• Prior experience in logistics Note: 100% onsite lab based role at SSF,CA site.
