Job Description:

Cabinetry Designer / Sales

Bareville Kitchens & Design, an established leader in the cabinetry industry throughout Lancaster and surrounding counties, is seeking a detail oriented candidate for design/sales. Successful candidate will communicate with prospective buyers to determine their needs and preferences, design a project with appropriate product to meet their expectations and secure their order.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales and gross margin dollars per the operating plan.
  • Respond to initial customer contact at the showroom or by phone.
  • Qualify customer’s needs.
  • Gather pertinent information for design work, including measurement of space, etc.
  • Create cabinet and kitchen design.
  • Estimate work to be performed.
  • Formulate proposal.
  • Present design and proposal to prospective buyer, modifying as necessary to meet expectations and requirements.
  • Secure firm order and sale.
  • Process cabinet order through regular channels and system.
  • Specify all items to be ordered, including but not limited to, selections for countertops, tile, flooring, plumbing, electrical and related fixtures.
  • Upon securing the sales order meet with the operations department and provide all necessary information to complete a successful job.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned by General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 proven successful years of cabinetry design/sales experience.
  • Technical knowledge of cabinet-making, industry materials, trends and dynamics, company policies, procedures and nomenclature sufficient to effectively coordinate many details involved in job duties.
  • Mathematical skills sufficient to accurately measure and design projects that meet customer expectations within space, cost and technological parameters.
  • Communication and people skills adequate to achieve clear understanding with customers, vendors, manufacturing people and installers, generating and maintaining customer trust and loyalty.
  • Artistic creativity sufficient to translate customer ideas and expectations into actual, feasible design and project.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products and 20/20 required, and CAD a plus.
