Come work on the Amazon Robotics – Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Team!
We are looking for an outstanding Process Validation Manager who will validate process and operational integration of new MSP automation solutions under development. This person will partner on one side with the internal Customers (Operations, Maintenance, Process, OpsEngineering, etc.) to translate their needs in technical requirements and validate new automation process integrations, on the other side with the Product Teams to ensure Customer requirements are early included into product design.
The primary role of the MSP team is to drive future innovation across all aspects of Mechatronics and Packaging, across industrial hardware/control machines such as robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies and packaging materials. We drive strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, WW Design, etc. to ensure we deliver robust products that effectively integrate into the Amazon Fulfillment network.
The Process Validation Manager brings Internal Customers early into the development process, and partners with them to early validate that new MSP automation solutions meet process- and flow-integration requirements, stress-testing the integrated solution and designing/troubleshooting/validating the interfaces with upstream and downstream processes. The leader builds a team of test, operation and process experts who support product owners in life cycle management of MSP technologies to mitigate risk in operations and maximize asset utilization. The leader develops compliance and variation reduction mechanisms, and hands them over to the Field Compliance team to ensure fielded equipment performs as per process design. The Candidate provides product teams with expertise in logistics, operations, and process integration.
A successful candidate will have broad experience and exposure across multiple stake-holders and deep skills in complex process integration of automated solutions, which include a high degree of ambiguity. They will work successfully across multiple large engineering, process and operations teams at a strategic level and drive process design integration and validation, to maximize asset utilization and performance across all our automation Products deployed in the field. This candidate requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, collaboration, analytical and abstract thinking, time management and organizational skills.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Validate automation integration with upstream/downstream processes and flow to maximize asset utilization
  • Coordinates testing and process-integration.
  • Participates in product testing in the lead demonstration sites to validate utilization, supports Process compliance teams in to ensure field solutions materialize their entitlement.
  • Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Connects with internal customers (Operations, RME, ACES, PE, OpsEng, WWDE, etc.), reviews client, customer, and user feedback.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $233,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
