RESOURCE ANALYST
Administrative Analyst Specialist
ECST / Dean’s Office
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.
Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Resource Manager, the incumbent serves as the ECST Resource Analyst. The incumbent provides a broad range of administrative, analytical, and support duties in the ECST Resource Office. Some of the functions include: budgetary tracking and analysis; providing recommendations on budget resolutions; purchasing; hiring of part-time faculty and student assistants; processing faculty and student travel requests; coordinating with academic departments to report faculty workload data entries in APDB reporting; coordinating and collecting assigned time request forms from departments; developing and maintaining various financial reports; and performing quarterly financial reconciliation for all fund sources. The incumbent will serve as backup to the College Contracts & Grants Analyst and assist with contracts & grants related activities as needed. The incumbent will also: assist the Resource Manager in the development of internal fiscal and operational policies for the College; answer questions and provide information on College fiscal policies and procedures; coordinate and perform clerical functions; and train staff as needed.
Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. Incumbent must have the ability to: establish and maintain effective working relationships; multi-task at a level that reflects experience; maintain confidentiality; make independent decisions; develop solutions and exercise sound judgment regarding various issues that may come up in the college; handle interpersonal interactions at all levels, in and outside the University; and respond appropriately in sensitive interpersonal situations. Ability and/or interest in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. Demonstrated interest and ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.
Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field. One year of progressively responsible administrative work experience; and thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft Human Resources and Student Administration.
