Job Description:

The Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology seeks a Research Engineer I to support its Micro/Nano Fabrication Facility.

The Research Engineer will:

  • Plan an execute research projects
  • Apply advanced scientific and/or engineering knowledge to technical problems
  • Act as the technical lead for a range of IEN-supported research projects
  • Conduct experiments, analyze results, and communicate findings to staff and research sponsors

Required Qualifications

 

Bachelor's Degree in science, engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have hands-on experience with photolithography, device testing, and micromachining using femtosecond laser
  • Have hands-on experience in nanolithography and nanofabrication techniques
  • Have experience with designing and conducting alignment and dose tests
  • Have experience in patterning on glass, silicon wafers, and other subtrates
