The Center for Cancer Cell Biology, Immunology & Infection in the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science invites applications for a full-time Laboratory Assistant. The Laboratory Assistant will assist staff in a research laboratory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Perform some laboratory tasks, including collaborative C. elegans media preparation.
2. Conduct supervised experiments, and analyze data
3. Perform a variety of techniques, including genetics, molecular biology techniques (western blot, PCR, cloning, and CRISPR/Cas9), advanced microscopy, and bioinformatics (genome analysis and RNA-seq)
4. IPSC culture

Conditions of Employment

Required Education & Experience

1. College-level biology classes

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

1. Basic Microsoft skills Ability to lift 4 liter solution

Preferred Qualifications

1. Undergraduate degree.
2. Some experience in biology laboratory
3. Prior experience with C. elegans or iPSC is not required but preferred.
