What you'll do:

  • Represent the Director of Engineering in matters relating to Nuclear Services activities or assigned projects.
  • Provide technical support to the Radiation Safety Officer.
  • Make recommendations relating to the investment in Process, Training, or Equipment.
  • Conduct independent analyses of engineering materials used in Industrial Gauging applications, not limited to but including, chemical compatibility, susceptibility to corrosion, and the general suitability of materials in special applications.
  • Augment/Support Field Service activities when needed. Supervise/assist as needed; disposal efforts, source recycling, repairs and preparation of radioactive material shipments.
  • Instruct VEGA Americas' radiation safety and other nuclear services courses for internal and external customers.
  • Represent the Company in State and Federally licensed training activities; requires an assessment of customer conditions and determining applicability of regulations.
  • Provide technical support to internal VEGA customers.
  • Provide technical support to external customers over the phone or through site visits.
  • Act as an engineering resource providing Programmatic Support Services to external customers.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Completed US Navy Nuclear Power School AND 1 - 7 years of experience with nuclear power/equipment;
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
