Job Description:

Performs manual tasks associated with R&D projects under management supervision:

  • Designs experiments
  • Discusses testing procedures and collaborating on the best methods to achieve the desired outcome
  • Tracks monthly hours to ensure labor is within project budget Performs compatibility testing with oversight from management

Performs compatibility testing with oversight from management

  • Presents compatibility findings to upper management
  • Writes compatibility reports and creates compatibility books for letter requests
  • Works with management to determine product that need to be tested for compatibility

Provides scientific paper research to support R&D projects

  • Researches topics related to R&D projects and collects references for future paper submissions
  • Discusses interesting findings with upper management for improvements to techniques

Creates presentations to upper management on findings

  • Prepares PowerPoint presentations on findings from R&D projects for quarterly review and discusses next steps

Presentations should include:

  • Results from testing
  • Analysis comparing expected results to actual results
  • If project is within timeline or deviating from timeline

 

 

Participates in introductory meetings to formulations (both regional and global), AdvisorCi, global R&D projects being done in other regions (Europe, Japan, Singapore).

Is available for calls outside “normal” working hours. Remote working is acceptable for these calls.

 

 

Supports formulator chemist on product laboratory testing

  • Laboratory testing new products on multiple types of foulants
  • Collection of data on cleaning performance and any issues with products
  • Use of mini RO for antiscalant testing

Required Education and Experience:

  • 0-2 years experience
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry or other related science
  • Wet chemistry exposure
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds or greater and work with basic power tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
