Gorge Rentals Property Management is looking for a handyman, someone who has the ability to fix a wide range of common and even not-so-common household issues. The person must have all-around skills that enable them to work on everything from appliances or broken windows and stuck doors to lock changes and painting projects. The role requires someone with good people skills and a well-rounded "fix-it" knowledge base.

Skills needed:

• Ability to assess an issue, form a plan and estimate cost quickly
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Experienced in home maintenance and repairs
• Ability to work with a team – grounds, cleaning
• Eye for detail and problem solving
• Preventative maintenance skills
• Neat, courteous and able to clean up after a job is done
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Must be able to fit in tight spaces – under sinks, under houses, in attics
• Must be able to climb ladders
• Must be able to use a computer and cell phone to track work

Typical work:

• Replacing toilets and gaskets, minor plumbing
• Painting
• Changing door locks
• Changing furnace filters
• Making a house rent ready – smoke/CO alarms, light bulbs, minor sheet rock repairs, clean outs, yard cleanup
• Gutter cleaning, landscape bark, weed eating
• Deck and fence repair, staining
• Minor appliance repair
• Caulking, weather stripping, winterizing
• Installing appliances
• Small appliance repair
• Trouble shooting for maintenance prevention

Maintenance vehicle provided; must have clean driving record. Full time, year round position no benefits. Employment is subject to background check.

Wage DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
