Responsibilities:
-Develop structural project plans and calculations.
-Coordinate and manage multiple engineering projects from start to finish.
-Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
-Read and address potential plan check comments effectively.
-Review and interpret blueprints and other construction documents.
-Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols per current building codes.
-Conduct site visits to inspect work quality and adherence to specifications.
Skills:
-Structural load calculations: Gravity, Lateral (Wind & Seismic) etc…
-Knowledge of project scheduling techniques and softwares. Specifically: Auto CAD, EnerCalc, Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Familiarity with current Building Codes, including but not limited to California Building Code 2022, American Society of Civil Engineers 7-22, International Building Code 2021, NDS 2018, and the Steel Construction Manual.
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute projects successfully.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in project coordination and documentation.
