Directly responsible for the effectiveness of new product launches through planning, scheduling and executing new product development system. This position evaluates and directs the work of subordinates. Work is performed under general supervision where strategies and goals are prescribed but independent action is required.
Responsible for the following activities and outcomes:
- New Product launch timing and budget attainment.
- Prepare detailed schedules for new model and model year launches
- Develop new product and model change charters
- Host weekly/bi-weekly cross functional meetings for current project updates
- Define and adhere to material cost targets for new products
- New Model and Model Year BOM component and costing analysis
- Provide direction, supervision and evaluation to documentation and test personnel
- Oversight of new product integration
- Plan and monitor engineering resource allocation
- Manage design validation testing and report program for new models, including model year changes
- Develop processes in support of New Product Development System
- Assist in annual ISO audit requirements pertaining to engineering processes
- Interface with tooling suppliers to ensure delivery schedules support production ramp plan(s)
- Evaluate new product launches for effectiveness and report out to Management team through launch scorecard and lessons learned
- Support MasterCraft Operational Excellence (OPEX) as needed
- Work closely with the Customer Service team members with anomalies and 90 Days of Summer
- Assist with creating Service Highlights memos for new model year enhancements
Education & Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred. 2-5+ years of project/program management experience or equivalent, preferably in an Engineering or Systems environment. Must have a strong background in developing systems and processes in a product development setting. Solid experience with data processing and analysis. Proficient computer skills, with a focus on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project for effective project scheduling and tracking.
