A locally owned food and beverage manufacturing company is searching for a production supervisor for their carbonated beverage canning lines. This company is experiencing significant growth and is adding roles to support their growth initiatives. Duties will consist of the following:
- Conducts training with new employees and retraining with senior employees. Instructs each employee concerning the hazards of the job, and how to avoid injury.
- Inspects their area of responsibility for housekeeping, physical hazards and safe work procedures daily
- Provide Production Leads with oversight while ensuring the entire canning operation performs optimally including departments such as Quality, Sanitation and maintenance
- Performs audits for Raw Materials and component stock
- Audits Batch Production Records to ensure accuracy to current operations
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and manufacturing equipment
- Organize work and training schedules
- Ensure all employees are working safely and following all GMPs for Food Safety
- Assist in the planning, organization, direction and monitoring of all Production Personnel
In order to be considered for this position, qualified candidates must have or display the following:
- Previous experience as a Production Supervisor or Senior Production Lead for a manufacturing company (food or beverage industry a plus!)
- 2-3 Years’ experience supervising in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or food manufacturing.
- Prior experience building teams
- Ability to manage and motivate staff
- Experience working in a multi-shift 24-hour manufacturing facility
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred
