Job Description:

Sets up and operate machining centers to support production operations that require close tolerances. Founded in 1963 and based in West Chester, PA, Transwall is a developer and manufacturer of moveable floor-to-ceiling and architectural wall systems. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
 

  • Program, set up, edit and operate CNC Brakepress machine
  • Operate lift truck and Overhead Crane;
  • Read and interpret blue prints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication;
  • Select correct material and/or extrusion according to specifications;
  • Performs quality checks by inspecting pre and post operation for conformance to specification;
  • Identify and report any defects in material;
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment;
  • Make recommendations for process improvements;
  • All other assigned duties.
     

Qualifications

2-5 years manufacturing, production, or machining experience

Working knowledge of Computer Numeric Controls and machine tools

Working knowledge of hand tools (ie. Drills, grinders, sanders)

Requirements

Able to read and interpret basic blue prints and sketches

Must be able to accurately read a tape measure and caliper

Must be able to accurately measure materials with a tape measure and caliper

Must be able to read, write and comprehend basic instructions

Must be able to accurately perform basic math calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals

Able to operate moving machinery

Pay

Starting at $19.00

Physical Demands

Able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time

Able to lift up to 50# frequently

Able to flex hours and work overtime as needed
