About the Role

We are looking for a product designer to join our team and help us create delightful experiences for the teachers, parents, and young learners who access MarcoPolo's suite of products across web and mobile. If you are passionate about education for the youngest of learners and would like to be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and mission-driven environment, we would love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

• Partner with product and engineering to design new features for our web and mobile products
• Develop UI kits and component libraries (for example, in Storybook)
• Apply and extend the MarcoPolo brand to add delight to our products and experiences
• Partner with other members of our creative team, including illustrators, visual designers, and videographers, to develop compelling experiences for our young learners
• Identifying UI/UX issues and optimizing existing designs for usability and delight

Your Skills and Experience

• 2-3 years experience designing products for web and mobile
• 2-3 years experience collaborating with product and engineering to ship products to customers
• Experience collecting and analyzing user feedback and data
• Deep understanding of best practices in UX across platforms
• An appreciation for good design and the ability to articulate why something is "good"
• Proficient in the tools of the trade: Figma, Sketch, Storybook or similar,
• Bonus points for experience or knowledge of educational products and game design
• Sharp eye for detail and high standards
• You love to create structure from chaos and synthesize and distill complex information into clear, concise stories for different audiences
• You're genuinely excited about MarcoPolo and our story and feel energized at the thought of bringing our story to market

The base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 to $120,000 USD + stock options. The actual compensation offered will depend on work experience, skill level, and location.
