Senior Product Designer – Contract (Remote or On-site in Mountain View, CA)

📍 6-Month Contract

SALT is partnering with an innovative tech company to find a Senior Product Designer for a 6-month contract (with the possibility to convert to full-time). This is a unique opportunity to own 0→1 product experiences and contribute to a product team building something new from the ground up.

We’re looking for a self-driven designer with exceptional interaction and visual design skills who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

🔧 Responsibilities:

1. Design thoughtful, end-to-end product experiences that balance user and business needs
2. Act as the design owner for a core workstream, collaborating closely with product and engineering
3. Deliver interaction models, user flows, high-fidelity screens, components, and prototypes
4. Lead and participate in cross-functional share-outs to communicate design decisions
5. Contribute to building a strong design culture and product vision

What We're Looking For:

1. 6+ years of experience in UX/Product Design
2. A strong portfolio showcasing 0→1 product work and systems thinking
3. Experience wearing multiple hats — from UX to prototyping to user research
4. Ability to simplify complex systems into intuitive experiences
5. Proficient with design tools and methodologies like customer journey maps and flow diagrams
6. Strong communicator who thrives in collaborative, startup-like teams

1. Remote within the U.S.
2. On-site in Mountain View, CA
