The Process Engineer II is responsible for ensuring the manufacturing processes are efficient, cost effective, meet quality standards and yield products per customer specifications.

The Process Engineer II is expected to:
- Improve scrap within assigned program or product in line with the company goals
- Improve SPC performance to meet company goals
- Conduct continuous improvement projects in assigned program to meet company goals

- Improves product quality by reducing process variability.
- Develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization.
- Develops improvements to current manufacturing methods and processes.
- Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials.
- Reads blueprints and aligns manufacturing processes to drive improvements and troubleshoots difficult and complicated issues effectively.
- Reduces product waste improving the utilization of capital equipment, cost of quality and optimizing productivity.
- Ensures that sampling plans are reviewed upon changes to the product, process or project.
- Provides engineering support in determining root cause and works with Quality Engineers to develop appropriate corrective actions
- Provides input to the production control systems and designs control activities
- Provides input for new product equipment selection, installation and maintenance
- Maintains subject matter expertise in specific area(s) and understands complex automated machine operations
- Supports the development of tooling and processes
- Leads projects, teams and complex product transitions. Provides mentorship and support to team members.
- Process Analysis & Documentation 40%
- Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Conducts FMEA, DOE, and SPC analysis
- Use appropriate statistical techniques to analyze data and make/ recommend decisions
- Performs complex data analysis and uses six sigma tools to resolve complex process issues.
- Writes detailed work instruction-level documents for manufacturing operations and related areas. Trains personnel in these instructions and other technical process controls (quality engineer)
- Develops and documents process operational standards, including identification and deployment of statistical process control opportunities.
- Develops all aspects of product and processes to improve functionality and launch new products.
- Effectively communicates and cooperates with others outside of department boundaries to influence success.
- Accurately documents and records necessary data and reports to describe scope of work for sustaining and continuous improvement initiatives. (Quality Engineer)
- Resolves problems and anticipates evolutionary changes in customer requirements and provides corresponding changes in process capability.
- Provides equipment design and specifications, including project justification documentation for cost and quality impact.
- Quarantines, documents and evaluates products and materials and generates Material Review Board (MRB) Case(s) as appropriate.
- This position has no talent management responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred) or a related field is required.
- At least 3-5 years of engineering experience is required.
- Must have demonstrated ability to synthesize complex or diverse information
