We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer with extensive expertise in server, networking, and storage systems. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and automating large-scale infrastructure for Fortune 500 companies. The ideal candidate should have proven experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), bare-metal server deployment methodologies (e.g., MAAS and PXE boot), and strong virtualization and networking experience. This position is ideal for an individual passionate about building scalable, reliable, and cutting-edge systems in diverse and demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Design & Implementation:

Assist potential MOJO customers in their infrastructure automation journey. Diverse hardware and software integrations including networking and virtualization considerations. Each customer's infrastructure is a snowflake that will require consulting to integrate server hardware, networking, and storage technologies with MOJO.

  1. Automation & Orchestration:

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks using open standards (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools). Automate large-scale server deployment processes, leveraging tools like MAAS, Redfish, or PXE boot.

  1. Server Hardware & Bare-Metal Deployment:

BMC and OOB server management skills. Manage and automate bare-metal provisioning, ensuring efficient server scaling across fleets. Utilize tools and protocols like PXE boot and Redfish for remote management and provisioning.

  1. Networking Expertise:

Design and maintain networking solutions (routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, etc.) critical for hosting environments and optimizing network infrastructure for performance and reliability.

  1. Storage Systems Management:

Configure and manage enterprise-class storage solutions (SAN/NAS/iSCSI). Optimize storage performance, redundancy, and scalability.

  1. VMware Architecture & Operations:

Manage VMware environments, ensuring high availability and integrating these systems as required within larger infrastructure designs.

  1. Security & Compliance:

Design secure systems in accordance with organizational and regulatory guidelines. Proactively monitor system vulnerabilities and implement appropriate patches and updates.

  1. Collaboration:

Work with developers to innovate on new features for our flagship product MOJO Platform.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Experience: 15+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, with extensive expertise in server, networking, and storage infrastructure.
  2. OpenStack: Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing OpenStack environments.
  3. Bare-Metal Server Automation: Expertise in technologies like MAAS or similar tools, PXE boot methods, and BMC Redfish protocols for provisioning and remote management.
  4. VMware: Comprehensive knowledge of VMware environments, including ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter.
  5. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong proficiency in IaC tools and practices (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
  6. Networking: Deep understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, VLANs, firewalls, DNS, and DHCP configurations.
  7. Storage Expertise: Proficiency managing SAN/NAS environments and advanced storage configurations.
  8. Linux/Unix Environment Expertise: Advanced proficiency in large-scale Linux environments.
  9. Scripting & Programming: Strong scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or similar languages to support automation needs.
  10. Protocol Knowledge: Practical knowledge of remote management protocols like IPMI, BMC Redfish, and other hardware-level interfaces.

Bonus Skills:

  1. Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration tools.
  2. Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD practices, and modern software pipelines.
  3. Certifications (e.g., VMware (VCP), Red Hat (RHCE/RHCA), OpenStack, or Networking-related certifications).
  4. Experience working with multi-cloud environments or hybrid infrastructures.
