A venture-backed startup at the intersection of climate finance and AI is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to own architecture, drive hands-on development, and mentor a growing team. You’ll play a key role in scaling an AI-powered platform that accelerates investment into world-positive solutions. They are focused on accelerating capital deployment into sustainable industries. They’re using cutting-edge ML and LLM technologies to streamline complex financial workflows and support climate-positive growth

Mission - Their mission is to accelerate capital flow into climate technologies and other investments that drive meaningful, positive impact.

They’re looking for an Engineer who:

1. 8+ years of experience (React/TypeScript, Node, Python)
2. 3+ years working with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) or real ML platform work
3. Has helped or 0 to 1; architect and productionize ML applications or AI platforms
4. Has start-up experience and understands what it takes to make it in the startup world
5. Thrives in early-stage, high-impact environments

What You’ll Do

1. Architect and build core infrastructure across the full stack (React, Next, Node, Python)
2. Lead AI/ML feature development (LLMs, RAG, vector DBs, agentic tools)
3. Mentor engineers and shape team culture
4. Work closely with product to turn customer needs into fast, iterative solutions
5. Define and uphold best practices across code quality, security, and scalability
