The Post-Production Assistant works with Project Managers, as well as other team members and contract workers, to ensure projects are delivered on time and up to JMM standards. They contribute to ensuring the smooth flow of work, maintaining quality standards, and facilitating effective communication within the post-production team. It requires experience working with spoken word audio and to be self-motivated, with the capacity to communicate clearly and effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a remote position. You are expected to report to your manager via phone, e-mail, and Microsoft Teams, and to have a fast and reliable internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Completing tasks as assigned
• Collaborate with the Post-Production Manager to conduct quality checks and audits on audiobook recordings, identifying potential errors or discrepancies.
• Manage files, documents, and records related to audiobook projects.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining project schedules, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with the Post-Production Manager to conduct quality checks and audits on audiobook recordings, identifying potential errors or discrepancies and prepping/vetting pickups for re-record.
• Prepare files for delivery
• Assist in organizing and preparing materials for recording sessions, including scripts, notes, and technical requirements.
• Professional, friendly communication with team members and clients
• Make corrections to files using pickups, edit fixes, or Izotope RX
• Updating project forms as needed

• Excellent team player
• Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering or related field

• Experience using Reaper, Smartsheet, Sharepoint, and/or Izotope RX

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
