The Opportunity

As a vital contributor to BBC Studios' growing podcast ventures, this position involves conducting comprehensive data analysis and extensive research. Your responsibilities will encompass integrating data management with insightful reporting, particularly within the realm of BBC Studios' podcast and audio endeavors. Your primary objective will be to produce detailed reports and analyses that inform both production and business strategies, ensuring regular updates on content performance on a global scale. We're seeking an individual who possesses the ability to adeptly translate insights into captivating narratives, effectively showcasing trends, identifying opportunities, and tracking success metrics. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, including:

Problems Faced

• Challenges include navigating collaboration across diverse business sectors while juggling numerous projects and requests, often under conflicting deadline pressures.
• Addressing gaps in data availability and management poses a significant hurdle, requiring innovative solutions within resource constraints. Planning and Organization
• Effectively managing and strategizing for a diverse array of data analysis requirements.
• Demonstrating advanced proficiency and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precision in all communications.
• Initiating tasks independently, possessing an expert command of Excel, and adeptly structuring and executing analyses to resolve intricate challenges, even when confronted with limited data.

Direction Received

• The Director of Insights will provide guidance on high-level prioritization strategies.
• Approaches to responsibilities will be shaped by input from key stakeholders across different divisions within BBC Studios.

Working Contracts

• Collaboration with colleagues from various departments within BBC Studios, including department heads, marketing teams, and counterparts based in the UK, is integral to the successful completion of many projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate should possess at least 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within streaming, media, or related industries.
• Demonstrated capability to translate complex figures into clear visualizations with actionable implications is required.
• Proficiency in employing Advanced Excel tactics to manipulate semi-structured data is essential.

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong attention to intricate details and the ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally are critical.
• A genuine passion for the audio industry and content is also highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $70k-$75k. This does not include other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position.

Hybrid: The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring presence in the office for at least two days per week, with flexibility for remote contributions.
