OUTCOMES

• Complete equipment repair and ongoing maintenance of food processing plant equipment
• Diagnose problems, codes, execute necessary repairs; change fluids & filters as needed when time for service; test and setup
• Performs mechanic skills including, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and repairs
• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to supervisor
• Provide routine information to and solicits situation specific information company wide from employees, managers and external relationships and general inquiries
• Internal customer service is key to this role!
• Ability to exhibit strong communication and effective solutions 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Three to five years' experience repairing and maintaining equipment and machinery required
• Experience in a food processing environment 
• Safety and security-aware and knowledgeable
• Ability to work independently and ability to take initiative 
• Degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
• Experience in welding preferred
