We are seeking a PK–2 Math Content and Game QA Specialist to support the development and preparation of digital math games for young learners. This person will write and review game voice-over (VO), assign difficulty and estimated completion-time tags, complete content and functional quality assurance, and publish approved games.
The ideal candidate has experience teaching mathematics or developing math content for students in Pre-K through Grade 2. They should understand early childhood development, early numeracy instruction, and how young children interact with digital learning experiences.
This is a remote, full-time (FT) Contractor position.
Key Responsibilities
Voice-Over Writing and Review

- Review existing voice-over for mathematical accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with the game interaction.
- Ensure instructions use vocabulary and sentence structures appropriate for young learners.
- Confirm that students can understand what to do.
- Revise voice-over as needed to reflect changes made during the review and QA process.
Game Classification and Tagging
- Evaluate games and assign difficulty levels using established guidelines.
- Estimate and tag the amount of time students will need to complete each game.
- Consider the mathematical skill, number range, visual support, interaction demands, and cognitive complexity when assigning tags.
- Apply tags accurately and consistently across games.
- Identify games that may not be appropriate for the intended age or difficulty level.
Content and Game QA
- Review games for alignment with the assigned learning objective.
- Verify the accuracy of all mathematical content, including prompts, examples, answer choices, and feedback.
- Confirm that visuals and interactions support the intended mathematical understanding.
- Test game functionality, including taps, drags, animations, audio, feedback, scoring, and navigation.
- Check that correct and incorrect responses behave as intended.
- Identify issues that could confuse young learners or prevent them from completing a game independently.
- Clearly document errors and provide actionable revision notes.
- Recheck revised games to confirm that identified issues have been resolved.
Publishing and Content Management
- Enter or update game information in the content management system.
- Confirm that learning objectives, resource IDs, voice-over, difficulty levels, completion-time tags, and other required fields are accurate.
- Complete final readiness checks before publishing.
- Publish approved games according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of game status and communicate blockers or unresolved issues to the project team.
Collaboration
- Work with content leads, curriculum specialists, project managers, designers, and technical teams to resolve content and functionality issues.
- Follow established templates, rubrics, workflows, and quality standards.
- Participate in training and calibration activities to support consistency across reviewers.
- Communicate questions, risks, and recurring patterns in a timely and organized manner.
- Provide recommendations for improving game quality and review processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience teaching mathematics and/or developing educational math content for students in Pre-K through Grade 2.
- Strong understanding of early numeracy concepts, including counting, number recognition, quantity, comparison, patterns, shapes, measurement, and early addition and subtraction.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and developmentally appropriate instructions for young children.
- Strong mathematical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience reviewing educational content for quality, clarity, and instructional alignment.
- Ability to evaluate digital activities from both a content and student-user perspective.
- Strong written communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn and follow detailed workflows, rubrics, and publishing requirements.
- Ability to work independently, manage assigned tasks, and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, elementary education, mathematics education, curriculum and instruction, or a related field.
- Classroom teaching experience in Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grade 1, or Grade 2.
- Experience developing or reviewing digital games, interactive activities, assessments, or other educational technology content.
- Experience writing instructional scripts or voice-over for young learners.
- Familiarity with content management systems and structured publishing workflows.
- Experience conducting functional QA for digital learning products.
- Knowledge of accessibility and usability considerations for young children.
- Experience working with remote or cross-functional content-production teams.
