We’re hiring a junior-to-mid level PHP developer with strong fundamentals who’s ready to grow into Magento 2. You’ll work on custom modules, fix bugs, write documentation, keep our legacy ERP integrations running, manage Magento updates, and handle data work in Excel/CSVs to keep systems in sync. You’ll also help solidify how we document procedures, work from a prioritized backlog, and stay flexible when priorities shift. This is a solo-first role with high autonomy. Periodic check-ins and support as needed. Magento experience is a plus, not required or expected. Clean code, clear thinking, and a willingness to learn matter most.
What You’ll Do
· Build And Maintain Custom Magento 2 Modules For Pricing, Checkout, And Internal Workflows
· Debug PHP/MySQL/Magento Issues In A Large, Existing Codebase
· Maintain And Extend Legacy ERP Bridge Logic For Quotes, Orders, And Product Data
· Handle Integration Touchpoints Including REST APIs, JSON/XML Payloads, And Cron Jobs
· Own CSV/Excel Data Tasks: Product/Customer/Order Imports & Exports, Data Mapping, Deduping, And Reconciliation Between ERP And Magento
· Create/Improve Data Tools: PHP Scripts For CSV Parsing, Validation, And Error Reporting
· Contribute To Documentation For Modules (New And Existing), Integrations, And Operational Runbooks
· Help Standardize Engineering Procedures (Doc Templates, Runbooks, Checklists)
· Work Independently From A Prioritized Backlog; Surface Blockers Early And Keep The Team Informed

· Week 3–6: Ship A Minor Magento 2 Feature; Add/Improve Documentation As You Go; Complete Magento Learning Track Fundamentals (DI, Observers, Plugins, UI Components) And Present A Short Summary Of What You Learned.
· Week 7–12: Own A Scoped Integration Task (API Change, Data Mapping, Or Cron Reliability); Deliver A Small CSV Import/Export Script With Validation; Publish A Short Readme/Runbook And A Data-Mapping Sheet Between ERP And Magento.
