We are currently seeking a full-time Package Designer to join our team. Under the direction of the Art Director, this position will deal with product development package design.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Product Branding /Development
• Package Design
• Photo-Retouching
• Catalog / Marketing Material Design

Our company designs & develops many products in-house including Pet Accessories, Personal Care items, Outdoor Tools, and Home-Goods, just to name a few.

We are looking for a designer that has knowledge of today's latest trends and can flexibly design for different brand looks. This is a very fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and organization are very important qualities that we will be looking for.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the entire design process from research/development through design and sample review for packaging, products, and marketing materials (catalogues, brand teasers, etc)
• Ability to take a project from start to finish
• Ability to manage tasks and timelines/deadlines
• Create/maintain product and packaging specs and design
• Send initial, revised, and final artwork to overseas offices in a timely manner
• Send clear and comprehensive comments on production and pre-production samples
• Communicate daily with overseas factories to resolve design issues
• Demonstrate visible leadership at the team and division level, and initiate opportunities for continuous improvement.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to utilize Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign at a high level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Knowledge of basic Adobe Suite programs and Mac OS.
• Strong knowledge of branding and packaging design.
• Strong knowledge of die lines and production print-file preparation
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, but portfolios can speak for themselves.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.

Compensation: DOE

Location: Midtown Manhattan - On Site
