Job Description:

The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for coordinating our Conservation Ambassador program, organizing our annual Wild Game Cook-Off event, aiding to spread Wyoming Wildlife Federation (WWF) awareness to supporters, and aiding our communications to build community around our passion for wildlife and wild places. In addition, hospitality support in the form of thanking supporters, communicating with donors, and being available for individual conversations with WWF constituents.

Primary Duties

  • Coordinate, organize, and communicate regularly with our Conservation Ambassadors
  • Aid in promoting, expanding, and improving volunteer-member relationships
  • Recruit volunteers for habitat projects, local events, advocacy, and other program-related activities
  • Organize and manage Wild Game Cookoff event
  • Coordinate staff participation in event planning and at event responsibilities
  • Build and maintain business partnerships/relationships for donations and event sponsorships
  • Aid Communications Director with website and social media communications
  • Assist with outreach and advertising
  • Complete contact care tasks such as thank you notes
  • Assist in the coordination of the major donor program
  • Manage contact databases and lists including for membership and supporters
  • Answer office phone and manage the organization’s mail

  • Excellent written & oral communication with a wide range of audiences
  • Enthusiasm for creating human connections
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of constituents and stakeholders for the achievement of common goals
  • Good team player
  • Proficiency with standard website and communication applications
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office, Google Workspace, database, and standard email programs
  • Ability to self-start and carry out tasks with minimal oversight
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle complex situations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities/activities, delegate effectively, and motivate others
  • Relevant 4-year Bachelor's Degree in the fields of marketing, nonprofit administration, or others
  • 2-4 years experience performing similar job duties (associated with wildlife conservation is a plus)
  • An understanding of hunting, angling, conservation, public lands, and wildlife issues in Wyoming
  •
