About the Role

We’re hiring an hourly Operations Associate to support and optimize Lugg’s marketplace across multiple markets.

This is a shift based role that includes nights and weekends. Our operations run 7 days a week, and this role plays a key part in maintaining strong market coverage during peak demand periods.

You’ll sit at the center of our marketplace — onboarding independent contractors (1099 Luggers), monitoring supply levels, and supporting contractors in real time via phone, SMS, and email.

This role is ideal for someone with gig-economy or logistics experience who thrives in fast paced, performance driven environments.

What You’ll Own

1. Recruit and onboard high quality independent contractors (1099 Luggers)
2. Monitor contractor supply across markets and proactively address coverage gaps
3. Support contractors via phone, SMS, and email
4. Communicate clearly and professionally in time sensitive situations
5. Identify trends impacting marketplace performance and escalate when needed
6. Contribute to operational improvements based on frontline insights

What We’re Looking For

1. 2+ years experience in marketplace operations, logistics, delivery, or gig economy environments (DoorDash, Uber, Instacart, etc. preferred)
2. Experience supporting or working alongside 1099 contractor networks preferred
3. Strong verbal communication skills and confident phone presence
4. Ability to multitask in an interrupt driven environment
5. Comfortable making quick, thoughtful decisions
6. Data aware and detail oriented
7. Reliable, accountable, and proactive
8. Spanish fluency a plus

Schedule and Structure

1. Hourly, non-exempt position
2. Shift-based scheduling
3. Nights and weekend availability required
4. Mix of weekday and weekend coverage
