AMC is looking for an experienced Omnichannel Merchandise Manager to help take our retail program to the next level. Under the direction of the Director, Merchandise and Brand Partnerships, you will work as a part of AMC’s Growth team, including Marketing, Communications, and Earned Revenue, to build and execute merchandise plans for e-commerce and on-site retail channels. This role requires strong analytical skills, market experience, creativity, and ability to identify key trends to create the right product assortment to maximize sales and connect customers to AMC’s mission.

 

 

This position will work remotely but must be based within a comfortable commuting distance to the AMC locations throughout the Northeast region.

 

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AT AMC

 

  • Build and execute cross-channel merchandise plans with a focus on optimizing sales, profits, and long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead assortment planning to showcase AMC’s brand, mission, and connecting people to the joys of the outdoors.
  • Manage the buying process utilizing analytics, reporting, and market knowledge.
  • Maintain and enhance AMC’s omnichannel retail operations, including both e-commerce and on-site retail merchandising.
  • Analyze sales and inventory to deliver and adjust budget projections monthly.
  • Track inventory movement to make recommendations on promotions, sales, price changes, and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Growth team members and other colleagues to brainstorm new products, collaborations, campaigns, or engagement opportunities.
  • Engage lodging and hospitality staff to enhance retail operations at AMC facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned and necessary for the advancement of AMC’s mission through merchandise operations.

 

 

WHAT AMC IS LOOKING FOR

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in merchandising or a related field or equivalent combination of professional and educational experience.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in merchandise planning.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and communication acumen.
  • Fluency in market knowledge and an ability to recognize and adapt quickly to trends and changes in consumer behaviors.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft suite products. Experience in Shopify or other platforms a plus.
  • A track record of driving growth in sales while managing inventory.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to exercise effective decision-making, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
  • A commitment to learning and iterative improvement.

 

 

 

WHAT AMC CAN OFFER YOU

 

 

Salary range: $52,000 - $70,600 / year

The initial salary represents our starting point, and our compensation philosophy is designed to reward and recognize the contributions of our employees as they grow within the organization. External candidates typically begin their journey with us at the starting point of the salary range. The final compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience, education, skills and geographic differential relevant to the position, and will be discussed during the interview process.
