Manage and lead the team to ensure the smooth flow of the ocean operations
Develop and organize operations procedures
Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines and co-loaders;
Responsible to handle majors Carrier / Client Escalations
Lead supply chain improvement projects, operations process standardization / enhancement within Asia Pacific Region
Operations KPI / Outstanding report & Follow up with internal departments
Monitor & review performance of volume / performance of customers & provide best logistics solutions to customers
Monitor and analyse monthly divisional PL report & support in the monthly forecast
Communicate and develop strong relationships with customers and overseas;
Coordinate with forwarders and trucking company monitor all inbound/outbound shipments
Local cost analysis & Optimization recommendations with measurement metrics
Ad hoc Operations project & implementation
Work as a team to support Customer Service and Sales Departments on ocean freight enquires
Initiative, responsible, logical minded and detail-minded
Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Immediate available is highly preferred
Requirements
Degree graduated or above
Minimum 8 years’ work experience in freight forwarding industry, with at least 3 years of managerial experience of Ocean Operations in sizable organizations
Knowledge in Forwarding Operations system, Microsoft Office Applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
Knowledge in ITIS, Cargowise or EC freight will be an advantage
Good command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Independent, initiative, responsible, logical minded and detail-minded
Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Immediate available is highly preferred
