NICU Nurse Educator

A DAY IN THE LIFE INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TOO:
 

• The NICU Clinical Educator is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the needs of NICU Nurses
• Provides leadership and direction of personnel with the coordination of the NICU Clinical Coordinator and the NICU Nurse Manager.
• Accountability and responsibility for the effective and efficient use of workforce, performance improvement initiatives, and material resources by the department.
• The Educator will carry out educational plans as directed by the Lead OR Manager.
• Will work directly under the NICU Manager and work in collaboration with the NICU Clinical Coordinator
• The Clinical Educator will cover call as needed. The Clinical Educator will also be available to take case assignments when needed as a staff nurse in the NICU.

REQUIREMENTS:
 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Five years of direct care RN NICU nursing experience
• Professional Certification in either a clinical specialty within two years of hire.
• A Master's Degree (Nursing or other if possessing a BSN) within five years.
• Previous staff development and education experience preferred
• Relevant clinical experience for specific unit preferred
