We currently have a need for a Network Implementation Engineer. The Network Implementation Engineer will be part of a network engineering team responsible for Implementation, Deployment, Operation and Product Life Cycle management of network infrastructure, including both internal networks and external facing client and Internet connectivity. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of applicable experience supporting global enterprise-level network and data center environments with experience in healthcare, financial, and/or manufacturing being strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Deployment and operation of IP networking, network hardware, Network Security/Firewall Management, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, etc), and Wide Area Networks.
- Troubleshooting complex network outages
- Troubleshooting tools such as traffic analyzers
- Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches
- Experience with routing protocols and Vlans are necessary
- Test, install troubleshoot network configurations
- Review technical requirements for deployment
- Develop design and system configuration based on technical requirements
- Recommend enhancements/changes to system design
- An understanding of private and public Cloud computing platforms
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventory and documentation for network infrastructure.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP preferred
- Extensive knowledge of networking technologies, topologies, and protocols. (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF & RIP, SNMP, Multicast, STP, HSRP, switching technologies, VLANs, Firewalls, Carrier Circuits, E1, SDH, Ethernet)
- Extensive technical experience using many of the following: Cisco Routers & Switches, Nexus, ASR, ISR product lines, Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Fortinet FortiGate, Juniper, and Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls.
- Extensive hands-on experience in implementing, operating and troubleshooting large IP-based Data networks (LAN/WAN/MAN), preferably with some exposure to the Financial Sector
- Knowledge of F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM)
- Knowledge of Cisco Wireless LAN
- Knowledge of network automation and functional scripting preferred
- Knowledge of NOC tools such as Smarts, HP Openview, Sniffers, etc.
- Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently in a global team environment
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
