Who are we hiring?

The Motion Designer designs and animates compelling two and three-dimensional animation and motion graphics for the Knicks, Rangers and Sports Properties to be shown in Gardenvision during Knick and Rangers home games or social channels, outdoor displays and TV spots.

What will you do?
 

• Design and Animate dynamic/high quality motion graphic packages for use in arena for Knicks,Rangers, Westchester Knicks & Sports Properties events. Build out content for each event throughout the season.
• Elements to be created include Logo Loops, Fan Prompts, Headshots, Insert Looks, Lower Thirds, Video Treatments, Open Video Projections, Sponsored Messaging, In Arena Contents, Line scores, Video treatments, Text overlays as well as other miscellaneous content.
• As a part of the Creative service department, candidate will work closely with our Social and Marketing Teams, Sales Department, Advertising Agencies and outside clients regarding creation of content and new requests.
• Collaborate and peer-review graphics with the creative team.
• Design new graphic packages each season for the Knicks, Rangers, College Sports, Sports. The graphics package will be designed in conjunction with the brand strategies for the Knicks and Rangers.
• Candidate must be organized and be able to properly format and label content for delivery to the control room (Gardenvision)
• Design dynamic style frames and new concepts that can help expand our brand for in-arena entertainment.
• Develop concepts, graphics and animations for Knicks and Rangers social channels and TVCs
• Arrange and attend on and off-site meetings, conference calls, contnet days

What do you need to succeed?
 

• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud including After Effects (and its many plugins), Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Expert knowledge of Maxon Cinema 4D, Red Shift and associated plugins
• Creative thinker with the ability to come up with design solutions that are engaging and high quality.
• The position is Hybrid, meaning you will be logging on to you MSG workstation from home with occasional needs to work on-site (in office) and occasional work in the arena.
• Organized and be able to keep track of e-mails, phone calls and multiple projects at once, especially during game days.
• Willing to work occasional weeknights and occasional weekends/holidays in order to provide graphic coverage for our events.
• Self-starter and willing to take on all projects with a positive creative attitude.
• Strong Design Portfolio demonstrating a complete understanding of Design Concepts, Motion (2D and 3D)
